Staying Safe ~ Covid-19

We understand this is a strange time for everyone. We want to return to normality as much as you do, but we also recognise there is still a risk to people’s health and we have a responsibility to our team and to you to manage that risk as best as possible.

We have considered every aspect of our business, assessed the risk and made changes accordingly to ensure you can feel safe and confident when visiting us. There are some things we need you help with too, such as keeping your distance, clearing your own rubbish to the bin station and of course, please not visiting us if you are feeling unwell.

DAYTIME VISITS ~ MAIN THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Same lovingly prepared, locally sourced, delicious food, just slightly smaller menu
  • Same wonderfully happy, smiley team, just keeping their distance
  • There is plenty of outside seating, currently it’s outside seating only during the day.
  • We are not taking bookings during the day – just turn up, find a table and order
  • All food & drinks will be served in eco-friendly disposable packaging
  • We have removed as many touch points as possible, one being physical menus. Instead you will be able read the menu from your smartphone by scanning a QR Code on the table
  • Once ready to order you will queue at a safe distance and enter the cafe one at a time to order and pay
  • We will not be handling cash – only card payments
  • You will be given an electronic pager and when your order is ready it will flash/beep/vibrate to let you know, then head to the collection station and pick up your order
  • Enjoy your food & drinks
  • Kindly clear your rubbish to the new bin station before you leave

THINGS THAT WILL HELP KEEP EVERYONE SAFE WHEN YOU VISIT DURING THE DAY

  • From 24th July face-coverings are mandatory when entering a coffee shop to order and buy food and drinks from a counter
  • Keep your distance from staff and other customers not in your household or support bubble
  • Use the hand sanitiser provided
  • We will give you an NHS Test & Trace Card to complete and post in a bucket
  • Ideally, only send one person in to order to keep space for staff to pass safely
  • Don’t congregate around the collection station – the pagers will work anywhere in the outside seating areas, so spread out and relax while you wait
  • The cafe toilet is reserved for staff only, but the National Trust Toilets are open and being frequently cleaned
  • Please don’t forget to clear your rubbish away to the bin station, the staff will be safer and ever so happy!
