A fond farewell to Tom!
We hope you are all great and settling into the Autumn with a hot drink in your hand and a spring in your step!
We wanted to drop you a line to let you know about some changes we are making here at Home Farm Café over the next few months.
Having shared so many fond memories of the café and numerous outdoor events over the last 10 years, it is with sadness that we are bidding farewell to our longstanding chef Tom Stewart, who, with his wife Daisy and children, are moving to the family farm to focus on their wedding business for 2023.
We will miss you Tom and thank you very much for your relaxed style, culinary input and delicious dinners!
Congratulations to Dave, our new Head Chef
We are so happy to let you know that Dave Bunday will be taking the helm as Head Chef from November.
Dave has been with us for the last three years and in that time has proved himself as a creative, dedicated, and passionate chef.
Dave is excited to focus on our brunch and lunch menu, introducing some new dishes and flavours to run alongside our staple favourites like pasties and soup.
He will continue to be supported by our very own ‘scone king’ Simon with homemade bakes.
Winter Opening Times
While Dave settles into his new role, we are going to slightly reduce our opening times for the winter months. We will be pressing pause on dinners and Dave & Simon will be taking the same days off (Monday & Tuesday), meaning they will be working their magic in the kitchen Wednesdays to Sundays. Fear not! The café will still be open EVERY DAY, but Mondays & Tuesdays will be coffee, hot drinks, cakes, and a simple lunch served by Maddie.
