You will be joining a small team responsible for preparing, cooking and serving home cooked food using local seasonal ingredients in a busy, award-winning café located on the beautiful Parke estate near Bovey Tracey. This is a chef/cook role, but a willingness to lend a hand Front-of-House occasionally would be helpful.
This is a full-time opportunity working 5 days a week, with 40 hours guaranteed and time off at weekends on rotation with the other chefs.
Food preparation involving veg & meat prep
Home baking a range of tasty cakes & scones
Cooking knockout soups, stews etc
Delivery of short-order lunch service
Regular cleaning duties
Maintaining a high standard of food hygiene and the paperwork required
A passion for delivering high quality home cooked food
1-2 years’ experience as a chef or cook preferred
Good team player
Happing to take instruction & willing to learn
Able to interact well with customers
What to expect:-
£12 per hour
28 days holiday
No split shifts
Rotas planned 3 weeks in advance to give to plenty of time to make plans for your days off
Lunch on duty, plus as much tea and coffee as you like
Free parking at Parke
