Reopening with a Smile on SATURDAY 4TH JULY!!!

Ok, so it has been a bit weird, no one has been settled over the last few months, we have all had to knuckle down and ‘do our bit’, staying at home…gardening…zooming…making rainbows…clapping…

Our hearts go out to those who have been touched in any way by this horrible virus…

Having closed with sadness back in March, nothing makes us happier to be stepping into July opening our doors with smiles on our faces to get things moving again…

We’re keeping our team with us for the journey, we aren’t sure what the shape of that journey is yet, that depends on your support more than anything…

There have been so many things we have wanted to say, but really all we want to say is – please come and see us, say hi, give us a socially distanced wave, buy cake, have a lazy lunch, catch up with friends, smile, walk the dog with a latte, grab a bottle of local beer, share some wine…

Did I say cake…

…whether you are walking cycling or driving here, Parke is a wide open space with plenty of pathways, fields, woodland and there’s even the river for you, the kids, your canine buddy or both to swim in, we have all had a dip over the last few weeks, it’s not as cold as it looks…

When to come:

Open to everyone – Saturday 4th July – literally Independence Day

Monday to Sunday – 11-30 until 4-30pm (we’ll shout when this changes)

Things you need to know:

We’re open ‘outside only’ for the moment and we’ll update you on that as we develop our new way of working so that everyone is kept as safe as possible, there is lots of space in the courtyard and orchard…

We’ll be serving all food and drink in recyclable take away packaging until guidelines tell us it is safe to wash up dishes, so please bear with us and be understanding

The Menu will run all day, with ‘last orders’ just after 4pm, it will be a little smaller in choice but just as tasty

We ask that you observe governments social distancing rules

We will ask you for contact details when you order as part of the govt’s Track and Trace system

We carry out regular cleaning throughout the day

We’ll provide you with Alcohol Gel at each ‘touch point’ we create – we encourage you to use it on arrival, when you clear your table to the bin station and before you leave

The National Trust Loo’s are open and being regularly disinfected throughout the day, further details can be asked of the Trusts team on site…

All staff will be temperature checked before shift and anyone with symptoms or someone in their household who has symptoms will self-isolate in line with Public Health England guidelines.

We aren’t the Corona police, so keep it sensible and safe please

We want you to be reassured that we are taking steps to keep all  our lovely customers and staff safe, the list above is a few of the measures and policies we are putting into place, our full risk assessment will be updated as we learn about what works best…

How you do it…

When at the cafe signage will guide you to order, our queue is marked at 1.5 metre intervals to help, the team will try their best to keep it moving quickly – it’s one in one out for the time being and then you collect your food and drink outside the main door !

We’re unable to offer table service outside at present and we are only accepting card payments, hope you understand, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask…

😊

The next bit

We’ll plan to re-open inside during the day for bookings as soon as it is possible and safe for us to do so, stay in touch via our social media and newsletter and we will let you know all our exciting plans…

Evenings at Home Farm Cafe

…bear with us for a little while, we’ll play around with the layout (both inside and outside) and let you know the next dates we can host you soon…
