The road ahead is looking promising ❤

Like you, we are filled with mixed emotions. Excited that things seem to be getting back to normal, but still cautious. We can reassure you that we have made changes to the cafe to make it as safe as possible for you and the team and many of the new ways of working will stay in place for the foreseeable future.

The big news is that from today (17th of May 2021) we are allowed to welcome you inside the cafe. The capacity has been reduced, we have installed very stylish screens, increased the ventilation and the team are doing lots of extra cleaning as well as keeping their distance.

That said, we have decided we will only open up the inside seating during the day if it’s raining. When the sun is shining, we have ample outside tables in the fresh air and a really safe and easy system for ordering.

From this Friday (21st of May) we are resuming dinner bookings on Friday and Saturday nights and you will be able to book an inside table or an outside table in the courtyard. We have already booked all our inside tables for the first weekend – thank you so much!

Visiting during the day

We have redesigned the courtyard and purchased some delightful new tables, so there is PLENTY of seating.

No need to book, just turn up and find a table. Once seated there will be a QR code on the table for you to scan and voila! up pops the menu for the day. When you have decided what you would like, you join a safely distanced queue to order inside at the counter (one in / one out). It’s card payments only.

You won’t need a table number, instead you are given a nifty pager that will beep and buzz when your order is ready. Then you pop to the collection station and collect your order to take back to your table and enjoy.

We kindly ask that when you are finished you take your rubbish to the bin station, separating out glass and food to help with recycling.

The whole process is quick, easy and safe with minimal interaction or touch points. There is also hand sanitiser and table sanitiser for you to help yourself to.

Everything during the day is being served in eco disposable packaging. This is to enable us to remove the need to have someone washing dishes all day. It’s a very small kitchen and we have to be able to maintain adequate distance and ability for staff to work safely without being on top of each other.

🌧 During the day if it’s raining we will open up the inside tables, but only when it’s too miserable to sit outside.

Visiting for dinner

Tom and Dave have a treat in store! They are planning a set menu, starting with nibbles and then a selection of dishes served to the table for you to enjoy. You are in their capable hands and we hope it will provide you with the opportunity to try some new and interesting things!

They will of course cater for any special dietary requests, so be sure to let us know in advance if you have an allergy or intolerance that needs looking after.

Limited safely distanced inside tables are available to book for dinner, plus the option of booking outside tables in the courtyard. Sitting times are from 6.15pm to 7.45pm.

We want to you be able to book the outside tables with confidence, so rest assured if the weather forecast comes in bad we will offer you some options and if nothing suits you will not be charged a cancellation fee.

If you have any queries or questions about anything you can email the team on info@homefarmcafe.co.uk and we will be happy to help. It’s hard for us to get to the telephone, so email is the best and quickest form of communication.

Thank you

Your support and ability to navigate all these changes/rules always with a smile has meant the world to us, thank you.
